Pick a role and a few champions
Choose one main role — Baron lane, mid, jungle, Dragon lane or support — and two or three champions. Knowing your champion's combos and power spikes wins more games than playing everything.
Laning
Last-hit minions for gold, and trade damage when the enemy goes for minions. Back to buy items when you have enough gold, and don't stay in lane at low health.
Objectives
Objectives win games:
- Dragons give team-wide bonuses that stack.
- Rift Herald helps take towers early.
- Baron Nashor makes pushing much easier.
- Towers open the map for your team.
Map awareness
Glance at the minimap every few seconds. When the enemy jungler isn't visible, play safer. Ping your team when enemies go missing.
Team fights
Stay with your team in the mid and late game, protect your carries and focus enemies who are out of position. Fighting four against five is how most games are thrown.
