Furnace first
The Furnace level gates almost every other building. Keep your builders working towards the next Furnace upgrade, and upgrade the buildings it requires along the way. Don't let builders sit idle.
Invest in a few heroes
Hero shards and upgrade materials are limited. Choose a strong core of heroes for your main march and focus on them, instead of spreading resources across every hero you unlock. New generations of heroes arrive over time, so plan ahead.
Save speedups for events
Many events reward the same actions you'd do anyway:
- Use speedups during events that reward building, research or training.
- Save gems for VIP levels and key packs rather than small speedups.
- Join events like the Bear Hunt with your alliance every time.
- Collect daily free rewards and online rewards.
Join an active alliance
Alliance members help speed up construction and research, share gifts and take part in events together. An active alliance is the biggest growth boost in the game, especially for State vs State and other competitive events.
Research and troops
Research boosts economy and combat — keep it running all the time. Train troops steadily and protect them with shields when you're offline during war events.
