The Finals Beginner Guide: Builds, Cashouts and Destruction
The Finals is a team shooter set on a game show where almost everything can be destroyed. Winning is about the money, not the kills — understanding cashouts and team roles makes a huge difference.

Choose a build
Each build has a clear role:
- Light: fast and agile, great for flanking and picking off targets.
- Medium: balanced, often with healing or utility to support the team.
- Heavy: durable, with shields, explosives and destruction tools.
- A mixed team covers more situations than three of the same build.
How cashouts work
Teams pick up vaults and deposit them at cashout stations. Once a cashout starts, the team must defend it until it completes — or steal it from the team that started it. Timing your steal near the end gives the other team less time to respond.
Use destruction
Blow holes in walls and floors to create new routes, drop enemies from below or reach a cashout from an unexpected angle. Heavy builds are especially good at reshaping the map.
Stick together
Teams that move together win more fights. Revive teammates quickly and avoid fighting alone — respawns cost time and money.
Gadgets and specialisations
Try different gadgets and specialisations in casual modes, then bring your favourites into ranked tournaments. Utility like healing, mines and barriers often matters more than raw damage.
