Robux is the currency for almost everything on Roblox: avatar items, game passes, private servers and in-game boosts. 'Free Robux' generators don't exist — they steal accounts. These are the ways to get Robux that actually work and keep your account safe.

Buy Robux directly or with gift cards
The simplest way is buying Robux in the Roblox app or website. Roblox gift cards from stores and online retailers work the same way and are a good option if you don't want a card saved on the account — or as a gift. Some cards give a bonus virtual item when redeemed. Make sure the card matches your region.
Roblox Premium
Premium is a monthly subscription that gives a Robux allowance every month, a bonus on Robux purchases and access to trading limited items. If you buy Robux regularly, Premium usually gives more Robux per dollar than one-off purchases.
Earn Robux by creating
Players earn Robux from what they make:
- Selling game passes and developer products in your own experiences.
- Premium Payouts: experiences earn Robux when Premium members spend time in them.
- Creating and selling avatar clothing and accessories (within Roblox's creator requirements).
- Group payouts from groups that sell items or run popular games.
Avoid the free Robux scams
Any website, video or message that promises free Robux in return for your username and password, a survey, an app download or a 'verification' is a scam. Roblox staff never ask for your password. Protect your account with 2-step verification and an account PIN, and never paste anything into your browser console when someone asks you to.
Buying Robux from other players
Robux can also be bought from other players, usually delivered through a game pass you create. Only do this through a marketplace with escrow and buyer protection, never send your login, and know that unofficial trades may break Roblox's rules.
