Game Boosting Explained: Rank Boosts, Duo Boosting and How to Choose a Booster
Boosting means hiring a stronger player to help you reach a goal: a rank, a set of wins, a raid clear or a level. Done right, it saves dozens of hours; done wrong, it can cost you your money or your account.

Common types of boosting
Most boosting requests fall into a few groups:
- Rank or division boosts — from your current rank to a target rank.
- Placement matches and net wins — a fixed number of games or wins.
- PvE content — raids, dungeons or Mythic+ keys in MMOs.
- Leveling, quests and achievements.
- Coaching — a pro reviews your games and plays with you to improve.
Solo vs duo boosting
In a solo boost the booster plays on your account. It is usually faster and cheaper, but it means sharing your login. In a duo boost you queue together and the booster plays on their own account, so you keep full control of yours. If keeping your login private matters to you, choose duo or coaching.
How to choose a booster
On Mr. Gold you post what you need and boosters send offers with a price and an estimated time. Compare their rating, completed orders and the time they commit to — the cheapest offer is not always the fastest or the safest. You only pay when you accept an offer, and the payment stays in escrow until the work is done.
Stay protected during the boost
Keep all communication in the order chat, ask for progress screenshots on long boosts, and confirm only once the goal is reached. Most games' terms don't allow account sharing, so duo boosting is the lower-risk option.
