Dune: Awakening Beginner Guide: Water, Bases and Solari

Dune: Awakening is a survival MMO set on Arrakis, where water is life and sandworms hunt anything that moves on open sand. Surviving the first hours comes down to water, shade and caution.

Manage water and heat

Water is your most important resource. Collect it early, craft gear that conserves it and avoid long trips across the open desert in direct sunlight. Staying in shade reduces how fast you lose water.

Avoid sandworms

Walking or driving on open sand creates vibrations that attract sandworms. Travel along rocks where you can, keep trips across sand short and watch for warning signs.

Build your first base

A good base gives safety and crafting:

  • Build on rock, away from open sand.
  • Add storage, crafting stations and water collection.
  • Keep your base powered and maintained.
  • Expand as you unlock better materials.

Earn Solari

Solari is the main currency. Complete contracts, sell resources and crafted items, and gather valuable materials. Spice is the most valuable resource — but harvesting it is risky.

The Deep Desert

The Deep Desert has the richest resources and player-versus-player combat. Go with a group, bring gear you can afford to lose and leave before your vehicle or water runs out.
